Polka Goes Hollywood

In March Steve Meisner made a cameo appearance with his group performing
two songs in a new motion picture called "Chump Change". Steve Burrows,
(writer, director and star), along with Jerry Stiller, Ann Meara, Amy
Stiller, Tim Mathison, Tracy Lords, Abe Vigoda, Clancy Brown, A.J. Benza,
Roger Clinton, and Fred Willard headline the cast with Steve Burrows &
Tracy Lords in the final scene dancing to the Steve Meisner Band. The
movie is slated for release this year with a Milwaukee premier in the
works. Burrows intends to have Steve Meisner perform for the premier and
is featuring four original Meisner selections in the movie soundtrack.

The movie headlined the Wisconsin Film Festival March 30th and April 1st,
in Madison at the Orpheum Theater. Show times on Thursday and on Saturday
were sold out, with people in line down the block waiting to get in! One
reporter for the Wisconsin Sate Journal wrote "If the second annual Madison
festival launches a film toward national prominence, it will be Chump
Change."
